Great day. Took my 7 year old grandson fly fishing his first time for his birthday.,Alex was fantastic with him and in no time he was casting and bringing in fish. Very good with my grandson he had a great experience Jeff from winnsboro

Fantastic fly fishing experience with Fly Fish Fork!!! Fished Lake Fork and Lake Bob Sandlin with Alex several times - he is extremely knowledgeable and put us on some nice bass. If you haven’t tried fly fishing for bass you don’t know what you’re missing - especially if you normally fish for trout. Great action on a fly and just as challenging and rewarding as trout. East Texas is beautiful, an easy drive and the people are friendly - and Fly Fish Fork is the guide that you need to call!

Had a chance to fish a half day with Alex. I’m still learning how to fly fish, and he was incredibly informative and patient while demonstrating various techniques. He’s very knowledgeable about the fishing conditions and will put you on fish. I will absolutely fish with him again soon and recommend you join him if you want to catch bass on the fly.

Couldn't give a better review of Fly Fish Fork. Alex was simply awesome. He took so much time and was so patient teaching my son, who had never fly fished before. By the end of the day my son was placing the fly right where he wanted it. We are now both "hooked" on fly fishing. Thank you Alex for a fantastic day on the water. Alex is awesome! He helped us get our casting right and took us out on Lake Hawkins. Very friendly and funny guy, and was very helpful in helping us deal with snags/lure changes/taking us to good fishing spots. His boat is fully loaded up with any gear you need and refreshments. It was worth every penny. I plan on booking with him again soon.

I have fished Fork for years, but never with a fly. I decided to book a trip with Alex just to try it and he did not disappoint. One of the best times I've ever had on the lake. Alex was very knowledgeable and a fantastic guide. The boat is setup great for fly fishing. He also ties some pretty cool flies! I'm definitely going to make this a regular thing.

Hands down one of the best experiences I've ever had fishing. Alex is a kind and honest man who knows this lake and the surrounding areas history better than anyone out there. He knows all the honey holes and will outfit you with the best hand-tied flies to get you on fish. There on the lake we fished several different points on the lake and managed to put some bass in the boat while the Tournament guys were getting skunked. His knowledge and conversation alone are worth a lifetime a fish. I would 10000000% go back and recommend Alex with Fly Fish Fork to anyone!
